M.B.A.C.P Accredited CRUSE Counsellor
Counselling
My
interest in Counselling began in 1990
while working with the British Red
Cross, teaching cosmetic camouflage
techniques to patients with severe
disfigurements. I became aware how
important and beneficial counselling was
in this work; patients were able to talk
about the distress, embarrassment and
low self esteem associated with their
problems.
In 2001 I trained as a
bereavement counsellor with CRUSE
Bereavement Care, going on to complete a
diploma in Person Centred Counselling -
an approach which supports and respects
each individual’s ability to fulfill
their own potential for growth.
I continue to work as a
volunteer for CRUSE alongside my private
practice, working with relationship
issues, depression, stress, low
self-esteem etc.
I undertake continual
professional and personal development
courses. As a member of the British
Association for Counselling and
Psychotherapy I am bound by a strict
Code of Practice.
