Simon Lewis - dip. BCNH,MBANT,MCMA
Simon
is a freelance Nutritional Therapist,
based in the North Cotswolds. He
qualified at BCNH (UK College of
Nutrition and Health) in London where he
is now a Clinical Tutor, helping the
next generation of budding
nutritionists. He is a fully-registered
member of BANT (British Association for
Nutrition Therapy), CMA Complementary
Medical Association), and CThA
(Complementary Therapists Association).
His
specialities include: skin complaints,
digestive problems, weight management,
hormonal imbalances, immune support, low
energy levels and mental well-being.
Diagnostic tests are also arranged,
where necessary, in order to assist with
pinpointing the cause of a particular
complaint or imbalance.
Simon
first
became aware of the impact of food on
health, during his teens, when he found
that by cutting down on the "4 C's"
(chocolate, caffeine, citrus and cheese)
the frequency and severity of his
migraines dramatically reduced.
In
addition to private one-to-one
consultations, Simon provides
nutritional advice to companies on their
products and also assists in an
educational capacity.
Simon
is a regular contributor to articles and
features in magazines such as ‘Zest’, ‘Elan’,
‘Healthy’ and ‘Limited Edition.’ He has
also been ‘guest nutritionist’ on BBC
Radio. He has contributed to a book on
Child Nutrition, due to be published in
the autumn of 2007, writing a section on
food additives and how they may affect
children’s health and behaviour.
In
2007, Simon joined the team at the
Shipston Natural Health Centre.
